Instagram Posting Time Heatmap Builder

Paste any Instagram username to instantly reveal the days and hours they publish most often. Export the dataset, cite it in briefs, or embed the insights in your next content plan.

We analyze the last ~60 posts via Virably's Instagram intelligence stack. Nothing is stored.

What is this tool?

A completely free Instagram analytics micro-tool from Virably that converts a creator’s recent posting history into a visual heatmap, day-of-week and hour-of-day breakdowns, and downloadable CSV data.

How it works

We fetch up to 60 of the most recent public posts (no login needed), parse their timestamps, and map each publish event to a 7×24 matrix. The darker the square, the more frequently that slot is used.

Why creators use it

Use the heatmap to identify consistency gaps, pick the best windows for cross-posting, and add hard data to client reports. Because the output is plain HTML/CSV, it’s easy to reference inside briefs or AI workflows.

FAQs

Do I need my client’s password?
Nope. Enter any public Instagram username. If the account is private or has zero recent posts, we’ll simply let you know there’s not enough data.
How many posts are analyzed?
Up to 60 of the most recent public posts. We paginate the official IG intelligence API with a short delay between requests to respect rate limits.
What can I do with the CSV export?
Drop it into Google Sheets, Airtable, Notion, or your BI tool to enrich client decks. Each row represents a weekday with 24 hourly columns, so you can compute averages, pivots, or blend it with engagement data.
Will you store or share the handles I type?
No. We pull the data on demand, render the heatmap locally, and discard the payload immediately after your session.
